THE HOME OF THE FERNS- THE POEM
Ferns most love shadow and the frequent kiss
Of spray from wood-fringed streamlets flashing clear,
Of spray from wood-fringed streamlets flashing clear,
And mossy grots where never sunbeam is,
Are to their plumy camping armies dear;
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and gloom
The dark's soft sister, unto each one brings
Best solace so from shade they never roam and gloom
