HELIPTERUM- Rhodanthe nat. ord. Composite 

 These are as easily grown as weeds. They bear clusters of small starry single flowers of white and yellow. H Sanfordi is the variety most grown, and is the most brilliant yellow of all. Everlastings. The flowers never fade. 

These half hardy annuals, which are called Helipterum, though they are still perhaps better known under the old name of Rhodante, are everlastings of great beauty; alike for the decoration of the conservatory, and flower garden Their neat growth renders them suitable for beds and ribbons, while their rich flowers elegant habit of growth and profuse blooming make them objects of universal admiration; the flowers, if when young, are valuable for winter bouquets. Succeed best in a light rich soil, warm, sheltered situation ,The best is Rhodanthe or Helipterum Manglesii, bright rose with silvery calyx one foot,
