GYPSOPHILA -BABIE'S BREATH
GYPSOPHILA
Common names
Chalk plant; Baby's Breath; Angel's Breath;
The misty pan icles of this are as fine almost as cobwebs. Cut early. It preserves considerable of its lace like delicacy. and is useful to use with stiffer material to give lightness and grace. Gypsophila is a hardy perennial, 18 inches to 2 feet high, and blooms in early summer. In its fresh state it is the most elegant thing we have to use with Peas, Roses, and other fastidious flowers that group well with so few other things. It is grown from seed.
