 THE PURPLE DEEP - THE ROYALS 

Into a mixing glass draw one half ounce of vin fiz syrup 
and three quarters ounce of raspberry syrup 
Add a little ice and fill one half full with milk shake
 and strain into a twelve ounce glass and nearly fill with carbonated water, using the fine stream only. Cover with whipped cream then, carefully place a No 16 mound of strawberry ice cream on top. 
Top with a cherry. 
Sells for ten cents

The best known shrubby Veronicas of rapid growth, with leafy stems, a freely branching habit, and showy mauve, or purple flowers fading white. The early forms with their colours are now replaced by varieties due to crossing and selection. and among the most beautiful and grown of flowering shrubs for and winter.
